Your home is beautiful – as always! We love “baseball man” and the fun memories and fun your family is creating with him 🙂 Enjoy the rest of your summer. It also means that I purge things to keep it clean, simple and not overly stuffed. I share that all the time; when you decorate, immediately get rid of what you don’t love.
I almost didn’t post this photo because if you see in the green magazine holder on the left, there is a baseball man sticking out. This summer home tour 2018 could not be more simple. I have wanted to soak up as much of summer as we can while still working and having the kids home all summer. It hasn’t been easy, but I knew the house decor had to be easy and not fussy. Summer means I have been hunting at yard sales and have new things I want to add to the decor.

And featured a seminar on decorating trends by Braden’s Lifestyle and coffee by Ugly Mug. The homes in the 2018 tour are in the Tellico Village neighborhoods of Mialaquo, Toqua, Tanasi and Tommotley Shores. Hello Laura, I love how you’ve decorated your home for Summer 2018!!! Your neighbor girls are adorable!!! My two sweet neighbors, Mae and Nora, recently offered free lemonade to all those out for a summer stroll. They love to visit Storybook Cottage and I hope that you do as well.

Unfortunately, the dried hydrangeas didn’t last very long outside . I’ve already made some changes to the porch after this picture, I may have design ADD. Summer is a great time to make decorating easy.
Love the green hutch and how you styled it. And your little neighbors are so stinkin cute. I love to dine al fresco and enjoy the bounty of the season. I decorated a tiered tray, that I made two years ago, very simply.
Seaside Mantel
🙂 Pinning if Pinterest will allow. I started decorating outside with these hydrangeas. I found this bucket at a flea market over the summer and thought it was just perfect to display what’s left of my hydrangeas. I paid over $20 for that old bucket which I thought was too much at the time (or maybe I’m just cheap) but I’m glad I did.
I purchased it locally from a small tree farm in Boise off Ustick Rd, East of Cloverdale Rd. We had a real tree this year after years with a fake one. It was a grand tree – measured at 11 feet and we knew right away it was our tree when we spotted it in the tree lot. One hundred percent of ticket sales from the home tour are distributed to local charities and organizations.
Hope you enjoy the holiday season. This year, I’m sharing my home tour onJennifer Rizzo’s Holiday Housewalk linky party! If you’re in the mood for tons of inspiration, go check out her2019 Holiday House Walk. Her Holiday House Walk is a full week of tours through all different styles of homes beautifully decorated for the holidays. My favorite home tour of the year is finally here! I’m always so happy to join the lovely Marty from A Stroll Thru Lifeand this amazing group of bloggers.
Your home is so beautiful and cozy! We had real trees for 8 years, lived at my moms over last Christmas and she has a fake one. We bought a fake one at Costco this year and I will never go back! We have a fluffy rug in our living room and the last thing I needed was needles in it.
Today I am sharing several rooms for this Christmas Home Tour. If you are stopping by from Z Design at Home, welcome! Oh Laura, I think this seaside theme is my favorite.

It was supposed to be a temporary fix, and now that one of the chairs are broken I think it’s time to replace this set. You know, before someone sits on it and it collapses. (To my friends and family, don’t sit in the chair by the sliding door). It does seem like forever since we’ve done a hop.
I know, I know, I went totally nuts, but I love it and I stand by my devil may care attitude towards my “traditional tree”. The Mount Baker Home Tour and accompanying Art & Craft Fair is one of our most popular and long-running programs. Back at the Clubhouse we also host a, Art & Craft Fair so you can get some of your holiday shopping taken care of during the Home Tour. I really don't use a lot of knick-knack type of things in my Christmas decor these days. I like to use regular decor and add greenery and ornaments to it.

Amazingly enough, I didn’t purchase anything new for this tour I just reused existing accessories in a new way. A good example is the curly willow branches last seen as a fall centerpiece. Previous summer tours can be seen HERE and HERE. With such a packed schedule planned I wanted clean and cool vignettes that are easy to care for in our open plan entry, living and dining areas. The summer season is going to be just as busy.
